As I’m passing over to them, files, and various other business items, it dawns on me that this is the end for me. My wife and I started this business literally from nothing. I designed everything from the company logo to the spreadsheets we used. I designed the invoices, the letterheads, the estimate sheets. Passing all of this over to them really made me realize how much I did for our company. I did payroll, estimates, invoicing, taxes, my wife even danced backwards in high heels at a wedding one time!
I feel sadness at it’s passing. My wife and I put everything we had into the business for 25+ years. We made it through the recession, barely. We had to lay off everyone. It was just me and her but we made it. Lots of memories.
